Rocky Mount Association for the  Learning Disabled and Handicapped

Our  Summer School program begins the first whole week after the 4th of July each year. Call now  for an application or information !!!   

 The program will run for 3 weeks. Hours are 8:30 - 12:30  Call us for an application  252-972-9896.

We are currently running our  2017-2018 Tutoring programs for Nash and Edgecombe Counties.

Mission Statement: The Association for Learning Disabled and Handicapped strives to advance education and the general well being of all learning disabled, handicapped individuals and their families.


Thank you for visiting our Internet web site.  We are providing  you with information regarding our service and programs as well as links to other informational websites that pertain to Learning Disabilities and assistance for exceptional students of all ages.

 ALDH is a non-profit organization that was started in 1979 by a group of concerned parents of learning disabled, ADD/ADHD and handicapped family members. ALDH serves adults and children with mental, physical and learning disabilities.

ROCKY MOUNT, NORTH CAROLINA— Each year, the North Carolina Council for Exceptional Children (NC-CEC) awards mini-grants to learning programs for students with disabilities and celebrates the achievements of children and youth in these programs. This year, Patricia Brewer, Professor and Coordinator of Special Education at NC Wesleyan College, is a 2018 grant recipient and previous student of the program, Zach Holliday, is a 2018 Yes I Can! Award winner.
